Board of Management
As a charitable entity, we are governed by a diverse Board of Management who represent the key stakeholders crucial to support our objectives. The Board of Management is also responsible for the strategic planning and direction for Youth Up Front in partnership with our CEO.
Industry reference groups and subcommittees are also utilised to support consultation and development of new initiatives.
Lynne Mabb
Chairperson
Lynne Mabb is a Senior Pathways Officer for the NSW Department of Education.
She has worked in the education sector for over 30 years and has extensive experience in vocational education, career services and transition support.
Lynne is our longest standing Board member.
Jack McCann
Deputy Chairperson
Jack McCann is the director of McCann Accounting.
McCann Accounting is an independent firm of Chartered Accountants based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Since 1983 they have serviced the Sydney area and have clients both Australia wide and internationally.
McCann Accounting specialises in medical practices, self managed super funds, as well as the tax and accounting needs of small to medium business and individuals.
Sylvia Borg
Treasurer
Sylvia Borg is the Principal agent of Realty Options, a bespoke real estate agency and property management specialist.
Sylvia is also a qualified book keeper.
Samuel Chu
Board Member
Samuel is a charity lawyer at Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers.
Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers is a mid-sized Sydney-based law firm focused on areas of law affecting the community, including community & associations, personal injury, business and personal matters.
Gillian Kilroy
Board Member
Gillian is a General Manager at Intuit Australia, a global technology platform that helps consumers and small businesses overcome their most important financial challenges. With experience as a Charted Accountant and in Sales and Marketing Gillian’s career spans industries from banking to digital media to financial software. Gillian has a passion for enabling individuals both in business and in her community reach their full potential.
Vicky McGahey
Board Member
Vicky is a teacher, speaker and author who has taught Science and Religion in several local schools. She is an honorary Rotarian and has served as an Officer of Cadets. Vicky has established a platform “Women Who Lead” to help women transition into leadership roles where vision, mission and future decisions are made within the home, work place and the world.
Matthew Tanks
General Member
Matthew Tanks is the founder of Comotion Learning, a Sydney based people and change management specialist.
Matthew has a strong passion for learning and development as well as being a change management specialist.
Sally Westbury
Board Member
Sally Conroy Westbury is an Assistant Director, Digital, at Jobs and Skills Australia, under the Australian Department of Employment and Workplace Relations and is based in Sydney. With deep and broad subject matter expertise in the Vocational Educational and Training sector, she specialises in stakeholder engagement and policy, having held executive roles across government and industry.
